The Georgian Room
Two new dresses from Georgian times and their complimentary accessories have been displayed at the Museum.
The dark green silk brocade dress shown above is dating from 1735 - 1740. The shoes which are at the feet of the model are made from green silk damask between 1700 and 1740.
There are patterns which form an over shoe to protect the shoes from the worst of the 18th. century streets! |
