The 1970's
Flower Power
This exhibition shows an array of 1970's clothes mounted on peg-top models giving the observer a chance to study some of the vibrant colours, textures and designs of the period.
There are trouser suits, maxi and mini dresses, tunics and jackets made from a variety of fabrics. Included are accessories, shoes, scarves, belts and jewellery. The fabrics often have patterns ranging from small to large and colours from quite muted to very bright reds, orange, yellow or vivid green as in this photograph. |

The Dorset Crafts Room
This room has been made possible by a generous legacy from a donor and the displays with help from several different sources. The room is divided in to sections showing the different crafts made in Dorset. There are :- Dorset Smocks Feather Stitching Gloves and Glove patterns A Glove making machine Locally made Lace Dorset Buttons and Dorset Bonnets amongst other items |
